Patellofemoral pain syndrome (knee pain)

Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome is a common complaint and the medical term for pain behind the knee cap articulating with the femur (thigh bone).

This condition arises mainly due to excessive Patellofemoral joint pressure from poor kneecap alignment. This can be caused from an imbalance of the musculature around the knee, both in strength and flexibility.
